Pat York has a strong background in financial services and Middle School education. While teaching, she noticed how little her students knew about Black History. She created a Black History presentation that was adopted by the school, and enjoyed by her family. Each day in February, students were given an assignment focusing on a pioneer or event in Black History. She ensured that her students' knowledge was elevated and that they understood the impact of Black History on their lives.
