Black History Month is a time to honor the Black community's extraordinary resilience, achievements, and contributions to society. We must honor the past, celebrate the present, and retain the progress of black culture for future generations. We can serve in the role of present-day griots, who not only know their family's history but the history of our culture. This will take effort and commitment, and it must be done. Let the conversations continue.
